Yay just ordered these boots! I saw them a while ago on the Topshop website but they sold out really quickly. Although it’s going into the warmer seasons now in Australia these will be great when the weather gets colder and won’t go out of style! Also ordered a blush to make the free delivery in a nice pink colour. Not bad quality for how inexpensive they are.

Now I have something to look forward to in light of the HSC exams (which are the final school exams in NSW, Australia) 

The exams started today and I successfully got my first one over and done with, surprisingly it was not too bad. 

I just keep telling myself it will all be over very soon :)

September Beauty Box

Beauty Box is a monthly subscription service which for a $14.95 fee sends you 5 premium beauty samples. It is similar to Birchbox in the US. 

This month was the first box sent out by the company. I received:

  • 3 x 1.2mL Marc Jacobs Oh! Lola! samples 
  • 20mL Shu Uemura High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil
  • 75mL Playboy Play it Spicy Body Spray 
  • 5mL Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Sleep 
  • Full size Sally Hansen Everyday Strength Medium Nail File 

Overall I was pretty happy with the samples offered this month. I have tried the perfume, cleansing oil and beauty sleep cream so far. The perfume smells lovely and is perfect for spring. The cleansing oil is nice and has a pleasant scent, though I wouldn’t purchase it in the near future as I have a full size Mac cleansing oil. I also tried out the beauty sleep cream this morning and am not sure what exactly it is supposed to achieve, despite it’s claims of giving you a ‘radiant morning complexion’. It has the consistency of a foundation primer, but I’ll use up the sample anyhow. The item I was disappointed with was the Playboy spray. I don’t fancy the smell and it’s not something I would use or purchase. 

The packaging of the box was beautifully presented. A hot pink cardboard sleeve with the mailing address attached opened to reveal a sturdy black lidded box with a hot pink ribbon. Inside the samples were covered in black tissue paper sealed with a sticker. 

The packaging was much nicer then a box I received last month, from a company offering a similar service called Lust Have It
